firestorm_am: Snape was alone in the living room mentalling going over the last meeting, searching to see if he had forgotten or more importantly missed anything. No one else was around having choosen to go to dinner. Snape had choosen not to join them as usual; he had more reason not to than ever now that the damn Potter kid had arrived. It was at that moment that his keen ears picked up a soft noise behind him. Only the light from the window fell into the room but he clearly make out the form of Remus Lupin.

c6fan: Lupin had see a head of shining black hair, and knew instantly. This was the person he had been looking for. Once Snape turned around to meet his gaze, Lupin smiled charmingly, to ephasize his entrance as being a welcome one. "Hello Severus." He said right away.

c6fan: "Leave if you want," Lupin replied curtly. "I'm only in here because there is basically no where else to go. I'm not hungry." He said. "And apperantly neither are you." He muttered.
firestorm_am: "Apparently," Snape muttered as he made for the door. In truth he wasn't quite ready to leave as he had some of the meeting left to review and he was comfortable standing in the dark but he could continue in his own chambers.
c6fan: Lupin raised an eyebrow, an expression of forced casual. "Albus' assignment got you down, Severus?" He asked.
firestorm_am: Snape stopped. "No, I love nothing better than to spend my nights mingling among those I can't stand. Obviously so do you."
c6fan: Lupin started laughing. "Go and eat something, you vampire." He muttered.
firestorm_am: "I'm not hungry, thank you," Snape snapped shortly.
c6fan: "Well, I think you're just afraid of being in a cheerful atmosphere. It would scare you, wouldn't it?" Lupin asked, rubbing the back of his neck.

firestorm_am: "If you're referring to the atmosphere in the kitchen then yes it would desturb me on more than one level."
c6fan: Lupin held back a snigger. "Why are you here? What's Albus sent you to do this time?"
firestorm_am: "That's none of your business."
c6fan: "Spy work?" Lupin replied abruptly.
firestorm_am: "If you want it to be."
c6fan: Lupin raised an eyebrow. "I heard that Fudge got a look at your arm. How did that end up?"
firestorm_am: "As expect unfortunetly." Snape put his hand of the doorhandle.

firestorm_am: Snape slammed the door shut almost catching Lupin in the prossess. He spun around to face him, "Why do you insist on playing this game! You know perfectly well what insident I'm referring to and its outcome."
c6fan: Lupin shut his eyes for a moment, breathing out through his nose heavily. "Sirius is not a murderer."
firestorm_am: "Oh, I'm sorry, do you prefer slayer of humanity?"
c6fan: "How many grudges can you hold? Severus, that happened years ago! You're teaching at that school now. And clearly, you're not dead. Sirius was imprisoned for years for a crime that he did not commit. I think you should be able to agree with me when I say that you're well over the point of "fair" by now." Lupin said steadily, on one breath.
firestorm_am: "You know, you're right, as always. Now that I think on it I recall Avery attempted to murder me years ago as well. Perhaps I should go pay him a visit in Azkaban; kiss and make up. He's probably served his time as well, maybe I should assist in helping him escape. My Lupin you're amazing, you have completely changed my outlook on not just Black but all my enemies."

c6fan: Lupin gave Snape a look of pure hate. "I was right about you..." he muttered, more to himself than to Snape, in the coldest voice he could make.
firestorm_am: Snape turned back toward the door fully meaning to leave this time. "And I care why?"
c6fan: "Did you ever, for even one second, think about why I never contributed to what Sirius and James did to you? On several occasions, I told them the wrong hexes, just so that they wouldn't hurt you as much as they planned to. I felt sorry for you, and now, I don't know why." Said Lupin quite steadily, and completely serious.
c6fan: (heehee, drama)
firestorm_am: Snape sneered. "Your unselfishness continues to impress me. You were so brave to do that for me of all people. I'll bet you felt you had done your good deed for the day when you went to bed. I'll tell you exactly why you felt sorry for me, because it was all you ever had the guts to do."
firestorm_am: drama indeed
c6fan: "Oh really? That's news to me, because all you ever had the guts to do was shove people around so you'd feel tough, and then pretend not to expect the circumstances. You brought it entirely upon yourself." Lupin said, with loathing eyes. 
firestorm_am: "You attacked me long before then and you know it. Besides, at least if I went after someone it was one on one. Not the  four, excuse me, three on one your gang liked to pull."
firestorm_am: *your gang preferred
c6fan: Lupin couldn't take it. He grabbed Snape's shirt collar and pressed him against the shut door. "Don't you dare joke about that." He said, fury rippelling through him.
firestorm_am: Snape glared back at him with equal loatheing in his eyes. "I assure, it was no joke."
c6fan: "Keep talking, Snivellus. I can assure you that I'm just waiting for the best time to bring up your worst memories." Lupin snapped, at a voice that was just above a whisper, full of venom.

firestorm_am: "Always the compassionate one I see. Gryffindor boy, warrior of the light, wants to hide from the truth. Typical."

Long before he confronted the Dark Lord at the bottom of the school. I didn't have to, there was no one to tell me to but I did. Does this cervice."

firestorm_am: Snape's face formed a false smile, "I thought evil Slytherins didn't have such troubled things as a concience and a need to repay doubts. I thought we took what we could get and to hell with the score."
c6fan: "You were disgusted more with yourself than him." Lupin said, smirking again. "And knowing that it was you- you were probobly haunted day and night by the mere thought."
firestorm_am: "Actually I was more disgusted with Black and you of course."
c6fan: "Speaking of Black... have you seen him around? I think I need to congratulate him again." Lupin said venomously, his eyes locked interrogatingly with Snape. They must have been talking for about an hour now.
c6fan: (I've gotten better at this whole arguments thing ^_^)

firestorm_am: "I believe he's enjoying the happy atmosphere in the kitchen why don't you go join him. Either way this conversation is over, I've proved my point and I've had enough."

c6fan: "Proved what point? That you're incapable of a single forgiving thought, let alone a spoken apology? Don't you get it, Severus? We're going to be at each others throats until our dying day. It was my full effort earlier to try and come to terms with you, because it was Albus' wish, but in the circumstances..." Lupin trailed off, narrowing his eyes and arching a brow, wondering how Snape would reply to this.

firestorm_am: Snape's voice became heated and he waved an arm for emphasis as he spoke. "I have proved that I can be trusted. Whether it repays a debt or not wouldn't I have let the Dark Lord kill the boy if I was on their side?! There is more than one way to repay a debt."
firestorm_am: *repay a debt after all.
c6fan: "How touching," Lupin said. "Some might mistake you for a creature with a heart."

firestorm_am: Snape continued as though Lupin had never spoke. "And as for forgiving people, I only forgive those who deserve it and since Black has been so kind to me in the last year or so I see every reason to get down on my hands and knees and lick his boots."

firestorm_am: Snape crossed his arms feeling Lupin was the one who had missed the point that being mainly to leave him the hell alone. "And your offer would be?"

c6fan: Lupin smiled a bit. At least he was getting a little bit of co-operation, which was huge, in the fact that this was Snape he was dealing with. "For you and I to put aside our differences... and certain," he paused for a moment. "memories," he said with a lot of effort. "And not have to have conversation like this every time he come into contact with each other." Said Lupin, swiftly. "Unless you're keen on starting up another hour of this the next time I run into you."

With that he made for the door again and made another show of saying a very courtious, "Good night Lupin."

He'd had enough, his patience running quite low. This was the last straw. He decided he was going to give up if Snape retorted stubbornly to this, too.
firestorm_am: Snape stopped just in front of Lupin, very close in fact. "Very well Mr. Lupin. We shall be civil to each other. You have a lovely night." The smirk did not go well with the sugar sweet words.

firestorm_am: he brushed past the other man gently bumping his shoulder and made his way toward the door for the millionth time that night.

c6fan: "If we came to an agreement, then I wasn't aware of it. I was aware, however, of your blantantly obvious sarcasm. Now, would you let me suffer, in peace?" Lupin groaned, half-glancing Snape for a moment. He did, truely want Snape to leave, but he also wanted him to stay. He liked Snape's strange behavior sometimes, and he was company (but not the best kind) after all. But that bit of information would be told when pigs could fly.
firestorm_am: Just when Lupin thought Snape had left his voice drifted from the doorway, "Under the new agreement I thought you were supposed to politely ignore all sarcasm as was I."
firestorm_am: we seem kinda stuck
firestorm_am: u there?

c6fan: I'm think of a way to get us out of this
c6fan: hmm....
firestorm_am: the only thing i can think of is if someone came by who Snape really didn't want to meet up with enough to keep him in the room with Lupin
firestorm_am: Say dinner just breaks up
c6fan: Sirius!!
c6fan: XD!!
firestorm_am: they hear the noise and black and snape retreats back into the room
c6fan: XD!
c6fan: Okay
firestorm_am: wow i actually have ideas tonight, it's quite a novel feeling
c6fan: Lupin smiled mildly under the shadow of his hand. And with the sound of Snape's retreating footsteps echoing as he walked down the hall, came a clammer of loud voices and the clip-clap of several footsteps walking at the same time. Dinner must have been over. He looked up at a giant grandfather clock in the corner of the room, which had suddenly chimed. "8:40 PM" He jumped. They must have sent the kids away and started a meeting. But it was over now. He suddenly heard voices, and something that sounded unmistakably like Sirius' voice saying "Watch it, Snivellus."

c6fan: (should I change anything?)
firestorm_am: excpet how about instead
c6fan: yep?
firestorm_am: He suddenly heard voices and one in particular that could only belong to Sirus, Snape must have heard him too because he was back in the room closing the door behind and not very gently.
firestorm_am: "Back so soon?"
c6fan: XD!! Good idea!
firestorm_am: Snape huffed but said nothing and instead leaned against the door obviously waiting for the noise to die down so he could make his escape. There was little chance of this happening though since the Weasely twins could now be clearly heard running up and down the halls with another new invention of theirs. 
firestorm_am: *happening however
c6fan: (might have to sign off in a minute)
c6fan: just a pre warning
firestorm_am: k
c6fan: Lupin sat up and glanced Snape. "Change of heart?" He asked, grinning.
firestorm_am: "No, you are simply preferable to certain company."
c6fan: "I'll take that as a compliment, I guess." Replied Lupin, arching a brow. "What's out there that you're so afraid of?"
firestorm_am: "It's not fear Lupin, I'm merely taking the easy way."
firestorm_am: want me to handle editing this time?
c6fan: "Alright," replied Lupin, grinning a bit. "And if you're waiting for the Weasley twins, then I should tell you that you will be waiting there for quite a well. If I were you, I'd make myself comfortable." Lupin said, grinning.
c6fan: XD! I see you were reading a shrieking shack? yeah, I didn't do a very good job before.
firestorm_am: Snape having taught said twins for their whole educational career at Hogwarts had to agree with the other man and relugtantly sat down at the other end of the couch.
firestorm_am: no it was alright
c6fan: ^_^
c6fan: now we're getting somewhere
firestorm_am: yup and i can do the editing and have it emailed to you by tomorrow so we can have it up on ff.n by tomorrow night
c6fan: Lupin shifted a little uncomfortabley where he was sitting. This was a 2-person couch, therefore leaving them with little room between each other. Lupin sighed, thinking of something to say. "Thanks." he muttered, quietly.
c6fan: (not sarcastically)
firestorm_am: Snape's mind had been wondering and he had the uncomfortable feeling he had missed part of the conversation, "For what?"
c6fan: "Cooperating." He replied, just as quietly as before, looking over at the clock, and suddenly becoming very interested in it.
c6fan: (he's too shy to look at snape, in other words)
firestorm_am: Snape remained silent and simply nodded curtly once.
c6fan: Lupin racked his brain for something to say, once again. He found that the silence was getting unsettling. Snape wasn't all that bad when he wasn't insulting people. He felt his face go red..
c6fan: ^_^
firestorm_am: Snape closed his eyes, listening to the sounds outside, hoping that Mrs. Weasely was going to usher the little darling off to bed momentarly. Lupin was figeting beside him, he opened his eyes and glanced sideways at him. Why was his face red like that?
c6fan: Lupin, sensing Snape's gaze, looked off in the other direction. "Err...so..." Lupin muttered, mindlessly.
c6fan: brb
firestorm_am: "Spit it out." Snape was quickly getting impatient with his unlikely partner.
c6fan: (XD)
c6fan: Lupin turned around to raise his eyebrow at Snape, but found that that was a bad idea. Snape could see his face. Cursing himself silently, he thought of anything to say off the top of his mind. "Uhh...your hair is...unusual. But it looks good." Lupin muttered, stupidly. In his mind he pictured himself getting a mallot and beating himself with it.

c6fan: (or more accuratley would be a broom or something)
firestorm_am: "What?" Snape now looked uncharacteristically nervous. 
c6fan: "Nothing." Lupin looked away. What was he saying?
c6fan: (XD!!)
firestorm_am: i can't think of anything
c6fan: hmm...
firestorm_am: this convo is going nowhere
c6fan: "Lupin, why are you blushing?"
c6fan: ^_^
firestorm_am: kay be blunt
c6fan: (I was saying it in simple terms :D)
c6fan: ^_^, this is going to be hilarious
firestorm_am: "Lupin, if I didn't know better I would say you were blushing. Any particular reason?"
c6fan: "What?- No" He answered, very quickly, looking for something to stare at. Anything but Snape.
firestorm_am: "You are."
c6fan: "Well, it's... it's hot in here." He said, quickly. If truth be told, it wasn't very hot at all, but he still struggled to come up with an worthy excuse.

firestorm_am: "If you say so." though Snape knew as well as Lupin that it wasn't warm at all.

firestorm_am: when can we finish
firestorm_am: or at least meet online again
c6fan: tomorrow?
